Getting everyone in on crypto… which turned out to be a total disaster all around

FTX wanted to created their first big advertising campaign using two of its famous investors: Tom Brady and his (then) wife, Gisele Bunchen.

My partner and I helped 360i / Dentsu win the FTX pitch with an idea that Tom was universally known for – getting everyone in to play and win.

Of course this was all before the bankruptcy, criminal charges, and so on.

And coincidentally, this will almost definitely be the last time Tom Brady will star in another commercial with Giselle.

The Results

Sure, the campaign successfully raised awareness of FTX and crypto. However…

Months after the campaign went live, Tom and Gisele announced their divorce.

And months after that, FTX went under.

And months after that, founder Sam Bankman-Fried was found guilty of no less than seven counts of fraud and conspiracy.
