Introducing Jane Walker

Re-imagining Johnnie Walker’s storied logo as a symbol of progress for women today

In the heat of the 2016 Presidential election, one of my creative teams at Anomaly had a simple, brilliant idea – to give Jonnie Walker’s iconic Striding Man logo its first-ever female iteration.

This was a bold idea for a nearly 200-year-old brand.

So we went to work, designing Jane Walker to celebrate women who lead the way and inspire a new era of progress in America. She made her initial debut on a custom bottle of JW Black during Women’s History Month.

For every Jane Walker edition bottle produced, Johnnie Walker donated $1 to organizations supporting women’s progress like Monumental Women and She Should Run.

The Results

The launch created a massive response, with 1.5 billion earned impressions in the first week.

Jane Walker was included in Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2019.

Diageo continues to release limited edition Jane Walker products on an annual basis.

She continues to make progress of her own in popular culture, step by step and year after year.
